REGIO TRATTURO and FRIENDS is an alternative to the usual, boring, repetitive weekend spent in a city or by the sea. Friends from all over Europe meet every year in the warm Irpinia countryside to spend a weekend immersed in the Italian traditional gastronomy, folk music, and traditions. This unique experience takes place within an historical environment, near one of the oldest streets of Italy, the Regio Tratturo, also known as the great “green grass”.
Prepare your sleeping bag and outdoor mattress for the next edition, a tent to share amongst friends and pack everything with a great desire to have fun and relax!

What’s planned for Friday night?
From 8 o’clock (pm) on, registration is open for the entire weekend. The registration fee is 100 € and includes free access to all activities of the RT&F, meals and drinks. It’s also possible to participate also to individual events. Please reserve your place in advance,
We suggest everyone to set up, before dinner, tends and sleeping bags in the camping area located in the shade of old fig trees of the Agriturismo. It will be difficult to do it after eating and drinking. Contact us if you need tents and sleeping bags info info@regiotratturoandfriends.eu
At 9 o’clock (pm), a dinner will be served under the moonlight among old olive trees of the Agriturismo Regio Tratturo. Cheese, meats, salads, bread, red wine and more will awaken our senses. And a thrill of euphoria will move our legs to the rhythm of tarantella.

Morning
Activities on Saturday are taking place without giving space to fatigue. The day will begin soon …
Divided into teams we will reach the Regio Tratturo, and here we will prepare the essential ingredients to make cheese and ricotta.
All participants will prepare ricotta cheese which will be provided to horse riders of the Ufita valley who will be passing through the Regio Tratturo on Saturday morning.
Little break and returned to the farm to begin preparing lunch. Friendly competition will move us around the farm to seek all the ingredients to prepare our dish. The lunch will unquestionably delicious. And still more because experts of Slow Food will lead us to tasting of extra virgin olive oil… and much more.
Afternoon
All participants can be involved in:
- Visiting Bee hives and honey extraction
- Archery and construction of arrows
- Dancing course of tarantella
- Yoga and music therapy among the olive trees
- Excursion on the Regio Tratturo – the shepherds’ green grass path -
- Camping Cycling Traditional games
Evening
Dinners under the moonlight with traditional live music
Sunday 31 July
breakfast and tour guide at the centre of Ariano Irpino: visit at the museum of ceramics (maioliche), castle of normans and sightseeing of the city.
Lunch at the agritourism.
